Local scanning

MOLE reads the current user’s cache folders on your Mac. The scanner does not upload file contents, directory listings or scan results. Cleanup is your choice and moves selected folders to Trash.

Account and purchases

Google sign-in provides a verified email, account identifier, name and profile image to the authentication service. We store the account identifier and purchase email with checkout and order records. Dodo Payments processes payment details under its own policy; we do not store card numbers.

Activation and devices

Activation sends your license key, a random installation identifier stored in Keychain and your Mac’s name. We store a hash of the identifier, the device name, activation slot and timestamps. The key is stored encrypted with a separate hash for matching. The app checks its license online before cleanup.

Transactional email

Resend processes the recipient address and license email content to deliver purchase and recovery emails. Cloudflare hosts the website; Supabase stores order, license and device records. Recovery emails go only to the original purchase address. We do not use these messages for marketing subscriptions.

Cookies and operational logs

Essential session cookies keep you signed in. The current site has no advertising trackers. Infrastructure logs may contain request metadata such as IP addresses and errors. Rate limits store hashed identifiers and expiry times to help prevent abuse.

Retention and your choices

Purchase and license records are retained while needed to provide your license, resolve disputes or meet applicable recordkeeping duties. Temporary rate-limit records are purged by the scheduled worker. You can unlink devices yourself. Contact support@mole.cheap to request access, correction or deletion; identity verification may be required and some records may need to be retained.

Service providers and changes

Our providers may process data outside your country. Their policies describe their own handling. We update this page when data practices change. Please contact support@mole.cheap with privacy questions.
